Constructing the style guide led to the production of over 100 print and digital ads, with the NPAC word mark seamlessly blending in to the fabric of Nantucket’s culture scene.

The Aughts Script Visualizer

Writer, Director, Editor

A feature-length theatrical vision brought to life: Aughts, a Radio Play

The storytelling communicated through my designs are their greatest strength. As an artist, I write and direct theatrical projects to share stories of my own, and with Aughts, I brought everything full circle with the publication of the complete audio production.

Directorial decisions on aesthetic, style, tone, and theme were solely my own from the first draft to the published Script Visualizer. As I built the world of the play, I established the environment we would perform in (a seamless white void with the performers and microphones present and live); the way audiences would experience it (online and where they get podcasts in the same format as a singer’s lyric video, with sound-sync’d text on abstract imagery); and the rhythm of the story (all editing choices including sound design was by me) in service of the piece.

Key art & brand design

Stories through posters, pamphlets, sweatshirts – or wherever your audience needs.

I shape emotion from deep knowledge of the brand & story. I see the world as typography, composition, and theme. The positioning is both physical (in hierarchy and staging,) and emotional (in tone and empathy. The evocative and intriguing nature of key art is designed to educate and stimulate.

The image for Aughts was instantaneous when diving into the project. While primarily a 2-person drama set in one location, I composed the visual of two figures in focus shoving against a wall of people in opposing motion.

This is not something physically replicated in the play; instead, the themes of isolation, regret, and interpersonal disconnect are amplified through movement in this art, conveying the core emotional heart of the show.

All the while, the art is mysterious, eye-catching, and clean, featuring a title treatment evoking nostalgia with a handmade, authentic feel. Much like what the characters are pining for.

Graphic Design + Art Direction Case Study

The Empire State Building

Expand the digital campaign of the world’s most iconic building.

Working alongside Situation Interactive's Senior Creative Director Rich Barry and Art Director David Hamed, I carried the newly refreshed brand guide through conceptualization and production for hundreds of events, digital ad placements, and promotion needs, including new Christmas and FIFA campaigns.

Challenge: Within the constraints of the refreshed branding and the seasonal campaigns (brand photography, font styles, logo placements, and brand best practices), adapt a standard landscape and portrait approved design into hundreds of reformatted digital, out-of-home, and print assets year-round.

Approach: Photo retouching (coloring, background replacement, manipulation, AI for connecting) and type lockups. As production artist, I maintained the integrity of the brand and executed the intent of the designer's goals across unlimited new versions, then staged each one for the Art Director and Senior Creative Director to approve.
